On 26 February, Consul General Zhang Kaibin of the Consulate General of China in Willemstad paid a courtesy call on Mauritsz J. de Kort, Governor of Curaçao.

Consul General Zhang congratulated Governor de Kort on assuming office, thanked the local government for providing a sound living and business environment for Chinese enterprises and nationals, and briefed him on China’s foreign policy and economic and trade cooperation in the Caribbean. He expressed hope to strengthen cooperation within the consular district, unlock potential, and advance bilateral cooperation across sectors.

Governor de Kort briefed Consul General Zhang on Curaçao’s economic and social development and stated readiness to actively promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between both sides.
