On September 23, the Chinese Consulate General in Willemstad hosted the National Day Reception on the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China & Welcoming H.E. Consul General Zhang Kaibin. Consul General Zhang Kaibin, together with about 200 guests, including Curacao Minister of Justice, Parliament members, Director of Police, Director of Tourist Board, Director of Foreign Relations, representatives from medias, Consular Corps and overseas Chinese were present.

In his speech, Consul General Zhang reviewed the remarkable achievements that China made in the past 76 years, particularly in the new era. He highlighted the profound connotation and significance of the Global Governance Initiative. As the new Consul General, he was ready to strengthen exchanges with all walks of life in the Dutch Caribbean to advance bilateral relations. Guests praised China's development achievements, welcomed Consul General Zhang to his new post, and expressed the hope for strengthening friendly cooperation between two sides.

The reception was immersed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The lion dancing performance and traditional Chinese New Year prints exhibition were highly popular, drawing applause and appreciation from the guests.
